Simulations
252 simulations, each tied to a chapter and topic of the NCTB syllabus. A student sets the values, runs it, and reads the results; every simulation has Bangla and English text and runs in the browser on any phone.
Simulation-first science learning
offSchool is a simulation-first learning app for class 9 and 10 (SSC) students in Bangladesh. It covers Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Higher Math and ICT on the NCTB syllabus, in Bangla and English. Every lesson starts with a real problem: the student predicts the answer, checks it in a simulation, and only then learns the formula.

Counted on offschool.site on November 8, 2026. Open to every student since October 2026, launched publicly on November 6, 2026. Simulations, notes and practice are free for everyone.
The teaching loop
Most students in Bangladesh meet the formula before they ever see the idea work. offSchool reverses the order, so the formula arrives as the name for something the student has already watched happen.
A lesson opens with something a student in Bangladesh has seen: a bus braking on Mirpur Road, a battery rickshaw speeding up, a jackfruit falling from a tree.
Before anything is explained, the student commits to an answer. A wrong guess is the point: it is what the simulation will correct.
The student runs the simulation, changes the values and watches what happens, until the pattern shows itself.
Only then does the lesson name the idea and its formula, in the textbook's own Bangla or English terms.
Board-style practice follows, and the topic comes back for review on a schedule, so it is still there in the exam hall.
Simulations
Each simulation belongs to a chapter and topic of the NCTB syllabus and asks for a prediction before it runs. The values are the student’s to change.

Everything in it
Five subjects, both syllabus versions, and every part of a lesson, from the first prediction to the review a month later.
252 simulations, each tied to a chapter and topic of the NCTB syllabus. A student sets the values, runs it, and reads the results; every simulation has Bangla and English text and runs in the browser on any phone.
Notes for all 683 topics of the five subjects, written to follow the 2026 NCTB textbooks, with formulas typeset and a simulation beside the idea it explains.
MCQ and numerical practice that marks itself immediately, labelled easy, medium and hard. 2,000+ questions carry step-by-step solutions, and more than 1,300 MCQs also explain why each wrong option is wrong.
Topics a student has learned come back for review when they are about to be forgotten, and progress is tracked topic by topic.
Ask any study question by typing it or photographing a notebook, in Bangla, English or Banglish. The mentor answers from the textbook content, builds and runs a simulation step by step when that helps, and uses a calculator for every calculation.
Photograph a worked solution and the mentor finds the first step that went wrong, instead of handing over a finished answer.
Short answers and creative-question (CQ) answers a student writes are marked by AI, so written practice gets feedback too, not only MCQs.
Formula sheets for Physics, Chemistry and Higher Math, chapter by chapter, each formula with its simulation. 10 guides cover writing creative questions, balancing equations, electron configuration and a plan for an A+.
60 comparison pages for the "write the differences" questions, such as AC and DC or concave and convex mirrors, each with a table, a simulation and practice questions.
Both versions of the syllabus are covered, and the app language can be chosen separately from the version a student studies in. The public pages load light on low-end phones.
offSchool is a remote MCP server. Connected from Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code or Codex, the assistant teaches from offSchool's notes, opens a simulation right in the chat, asks practice questions one at a time and checks the answers.
A guardian's consent is confirmed at sign-up with a tick, without a phone number. An account and all its data can be deleted at any time, and a connected AI app never receives the student's name, email, phone or mentor conversations.
MCP connector
The remote MCP server at https://api.offschool.site/mcp signs in with OAuth. Connected from Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code or Codex, an assistant teaches from offSchool’s notes in the textbook’s Bangla terms, and in Claude and ChatGPT a simulation opens right in the chat.
The connected app never receives the student’s name, email, phone number or mentor conversations, and access can be revoked from the student’s account at any time.
Connection steps on offschool.site ↗| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
| search_syllabus | Finds the syllabus topic a question belongs to. |
| get_topic | Reads a topic's notes, in the textbook's terms. |
| get_chapter | Lists a chapter's topics and simulations. |
| find_simulations | Lists the simulations that fit an idea. |
| show_simulation | Opens a simulation in the chat where the app supports it, otherwise links it. |
| get_formula_sheet | Returns a subject's formulas, chapter by chapter. |
| get_practice_questions | Fetches practice questions to ask one at a time. |
| check_answer | Checks the student's choice and returns the worked solution. |
| my_progress | With the student's permission, shows weak topics and reviews that are due. |
| search / fetch | The pair deep-research clients use to cite offSchool pages. |
Plans
Simulations, notes, practice and review are the same on every plan. Plans differ only in how much of the mentor, khata checks and AI marking a student gets. Payments are not live during the beta: paid plans take a waitlist, and nobody pays anything yet.
| Per month | Free৳0 / month | Starter৳299 / month | Plus৳599 / month | Pro৳999 / month |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Simulations, notes and practice | Everything | Everything | Everything | Everything |
| Mentor questions a month | 30 | 200 | 500 | 800 |
| Mentor questions a day, at most | 10 | 25 | 50 | 80 |
| Khata checks a month | 5 | 25 | 60 | 100 |
| AI-marked written answers a month | 30 | 200 | 400 | 600 |
| Advanced answers for hard problems | None | None | 15 | 40 |
From offschool.site/pricing on November 8, 2026. Yearly plans cost ten months’ price. Allowances reset on the first of each month, Bangladesh time. The first 1,000 people on the waitlist get 40% off their first three months.
How it is built
Notes for all 683 topics are written in Bangla and English from the current textbooks, and every worked solution was checked twice. Any page has a report button, and content mistakes are fixed first.
It finds the textbook passage first, sends every calculation to a calculator rather than the model, refuses unsafe topics, and gives a student in danger the 999 and 1098 helplines. A fixed set of evaluated questions gates every release.
Each simulation is data run by one shared engine, which is why the same simulation plays on the website and inside Claude or ChatGPT.
Notes, formula sheets, guides and comparisons are prerendered HTML, and offschool.site/llms.txt maps every subject, chapter, topic and simulation for answer engines.
Light pages for low-end phones, a guardian consent tick at sign-up, account deletion by the student at any time, and learning data stored on Amazon Web Services in Mumbai.
Questions
offSchool is a simulation-first learning app for class 9 and 10 (SSC) students in Bangladesh, built by Shahriar Labs. It covers Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Higher Math and ICT on the NCTB syllabus, in Bangla and English: every lesson starts with a real problem, the student predicts the answer, then checks it in a simulation.
Yes. Every simulation, the notes for every topic, MCQ and numerical practice and review are free for everyone, with no time limit. Only the AI work, the mentor's answers, khata checks and AI-marked written answers, runs on a monthly allowance, and the free plan includes one.
The full SSC (class 9 and 10) syllabus of five subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Higher Math and ICT. That is 59 chapters and 683 topics, in both the Bangla version and the English version, as checked on November 8, 2026.
The mentor runs on Anthropic's Claude, and offSchool says so in the app wherever a question can be asked. It answers from offSchool's textbook-aligned content, and each release is tested against a fixed set of evaluated questions before it ships.
Yes. offSchool runs a remote MCP server at https://api.offschool.site/mcp, signed in with OAuth. Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code and Codex can then search the syllabus, read notes, open simulations inside the chat, ask practice questions and check answers. Each AI app has its own age limit, such as 18 and over for Claude.
offSchool opened to every student in October 2026 as a public beta and launched publicly on November 6, 2026, with a short film. Every subject, simulation, note and practice set is ready to use; beta means the app is still improved every week. Payments are not live, so no one pays during the beta, and accounts and progress carry through every update.
